Details
Very interesting 6th version of the Leica I Model A Elmar. Camera shows signs of use but no dings or dents. Technically in perfect condition. Signs of use are visible but overall this Leica I Elmar camera is in very nice condition. Features of the 6th version camera are:
- Shutter release button slender dome shaped
- Thread for wire release
- Automatic disengagement when rewinding film
- Viewfinder with double-depth lens
- Viewfinder diameter starts at 9.9mm and at around serial number 20000 it becomes 10.7mm
- Film return lever not quite flat
- Round headed screw in film return lever from about serial number 29000
The winding knob has been replaced for a later higher model. Original these knobs were the lower knobs for this version. Included are a FODIS rangefinder with serial number 19769, lens cap and a 2nd version ESMIT case. Difference between the 2nd and the 1st version is that the 2nd version has a small fastening strip on the upper right hand side.
