Normally this type of wear is visible on the Black Paint Leica M4 cameras from the 1st batch and also on the Leica M2 and Leica M3 cameras but on the later Black Paint Leica M4 cameras you normally do not see this. The previous owner told that the camera belonged to the Jewish photographer Serge Ephraïm. Maybe he used it a lot and is this the reason of the paint wear. Maybe the finish was just different compared to the later ones and was the paint more like the paint of the Leica M4 cameras of the 1st batch. Whatever the reason is the paint wear makes this very attractive and appealing. Technically in perfect working condition. Speeding times are accurate. Finder is bright and clear. Some little denkt are visible on the top plate.
