Very rare and sought after almost perfect example of the Leica 28-35-50mm f4 Tri-Elmar lens in box. In total only about 3,850 lenses were produced of the first type Tri-Elmar lens. This includes the "regular" silver standard version of which 500 pieces were made as well as the small special series of 150 pieces for Leica Historica in silver. Lens elements are clean. No haze, fog, scratches or cleaning marks. Some small pieces of dust are visible. Barrel is almost perfect. 1 or 2 small signs of mounting a lens hood are visible. Lens is 6-bit coded and ready to be used on all Leica M cameras. Complete with box, pouch, lens caps, papers and Leica 12592 lens hood with cap.
