Voigtländer made about 16000 pieces of the Vito III. The very early ones had like the prototype series a raised panel on the front side of the top plate. Inside the camera, behind this bulge, nothing special is visible. Presumably, Voigtländer used some of the prototype series top plates (some Prototypes Vito and Prominent cameras were seen with the raised panel) for the first batch of the production series. On the later batches there was no raised panel on the top plates. The camera is in very nice condition and was in a collection for many years. Some small signs of use are visible but no dings or dents. Speeding times are accurate. Lens elements are clean with a bit of dust. Nothing too bad. Mounted is a Ultron 50mm f2 lens in Compur-Rapid shutter. Comes complete with manual and box.
