Benser
Walther Benser (1912-2002) was a German photographer and photojournalist dedicated to Leica cameras, documenting his experiences in "My Life with the Leica". After his photography career, he focused on Leica photography lectures and founded a renowned color photo agency. He also designed specialized bags for Leica cameras, which remain popular among Leica users. In the early 1960s, he introduced the Benser base plate, allowing extra lens storage under the Leica M cameras. His concept lived on with the Leica Lens Carrier-M (Leica code 14404).
