Mamiya
Mamiya was founded in 1940 in Tokyo by Mamiya Seiichi and Sugawara Tsunejirō as Mamiya Optical Works. Its first camera, the Mamiya Six, a 6×6 folding model, set the stage for the company's innovation. Despite WWII disruptions, Mamiya resumed production and began making its own shutters and lenses by 1947.
