Nicca

Nicca Camera Corporation was a Japanese camera maker founded in the early 20th century, known for its high-quality cameras and lenses. In the 1950s and 1960s, the company earned recognition for its precision craftsmanship and rangefinder cameras. Nicca’s products were praised for their reliability and competitive pricing, often compared to brands like Leitz (for example the Leica IIIF).

One of its notable models, the Nicca 3, offered advanced specifications for its time, including a high-quality lens and solid build. However, in the 1960s, rising competition from companies like Canon, Nikon, and Minolta led to its decline. By the 1970s, Nicca ceased camera production.
