Linhof

Founded in 1887 by Valentin Linhof in Munich, Linhof initially focused on producing high-quality camera shutters, including one of the first leaf shutters. In 1906, the company began manufacturing cameras, gaining a reputation for precision in large and medium format photography. In 1934, Nikolaus Karpf introduced the Technika, the world’s first all-metal folding field camera, which became Linhof's flagship model. The company continued innovation with the Super Technika, Master Technika, and Technika 2000, incorporating modern features and portability. Today, Linhof remains a leader in large-format photography, known for its craftsmanship and enduring quality.
