Very interesting Leica M3 from a batch of 100 camera with serial number between 1135001 - 1135100. Normally the asterisk symbol (*) behind the serial number was used for duplicate number. In this this is not used for duplicate numbers. The M3 bodies from this batch were all delivered with the asterisk engraving. It is uncertain why this was done but probably this serie was withheld until the end of the production of the M3 and after that resorted to this stock. The delivery took place bet. . . More
